What Mission 3 asks
Mission 3 puts arrivals and departures together for the first time. There is one runway and only one aircraft can use it at a time: a landing, a departure lining up and taking off, or an aircraft crossing.
How to play it
Push the departures back early and taxi them to the hold-short lines. They can wait there safely while an arrival lands, then line up as soon as the runway is clear.
- Line up a departure only when the next arrival is still in the hold, not on final.
- Clear each arrival off the runway as soon as it has slowed down.
- If the runway is still busy when an arrival is on final, tap Go Around. Landing on an occupied runway is a crash.
Getting three stars
A go-around you order costs 20 points, breaks your streak and loses the third star. Plan the order so you never need one: keep arrivals in the hold until the departure ahead of them has rolled.
Questions
When should you call a go-around in Mini Airport?
When an arrival is on final and the runway is still occupied. It climbs away and comes back later. It costs 20 points, but landing on a busy runway ends the game.
